China Dragon

I was so hopeful, but this food was just awful. By far the worst Chinese food I've ever had, with the exception of another Myrtle Beach Chinese restaurant. Sesame chicken texture was stringy, and the sauce may have been sweet and sour sauce - it was red. Sesame seeds sprinkled over the top did not magically turn it into sesame chicken. Steamed dumplings had an odd taste and texture. I don't even know what was in the egg roll. Fried rice was yellow and tasteless. I have had Chinese takeout all over the country, both good and bad, and this was by far the worst. I really wanted to like this place. I'm sorry. Don't eat here.

We ordered chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, and orange chicken. The lady taking our order was annoyed we interrupted her phone call to a friend where they were discussing what snowboard to buy. We ordered and sat down. One of the workers/owners kids was in the restaurant on her iPad face timing friends. She was around 10, and she was talking extremely loud. She was talking to friends about how she is going to jump kids in the bathroom, purposely trips, kids in the hallways, calling all these kids ugly, and saying other extremely rude comments. Our food was by far the nasty food we have ate. The noodles tasted like stinky seafood when we didn’t order any seafood. The rice was crunchy. The sesame chicken was anything but chicken. It was tough like a jerky texture. The orange chicken was also tough. The sauce on the orange chicken was okay. All over horrible experience. $45 wasted. We didn’t finish anything, and we threw it all away. We all ended up getting stomach aches that night.

Good Food. Went there while visiting friends in Myrtle Beach area. The dim sum was REALLY GOOD. The sesame chicken was very tasty and the beef in garlic could have been spicier for my tast but others liked it service was speedy and they seemed to be fairly busy with take out orders. September 2022 we are back to normal MB. Year after year and time after time great food quickly. Still a 5 ⭐ place. April 2022 things are still the same, good food and fast service. We were looking for a quick meal instead of cooking or doing a long sit down dinner and decided on China Dragon a small mostly take out Chinese Restaurant in a strip mall. What a pleasure. Look, the place is nothing fancy with 5 tables and folks picking up take out. We looked at the menu and decided to eat in. I ordered the combination meal C14 Jumbo Shrimp with Mixed Chinese Veg, Pork Fried Rice and Egg Roll $9.95. Bill had C27 General Tso's Chicken $10.50 with Pork Fried Rice and Egg Roll plus a small Hot & Sour soup to go. Food was out in less than 10 minutes from the very busy kitchen. Everything was fantastic!! Another plus is this is one of the few places that has "Real Hot Chinese Mustard!" This is now our official Go To Chinese Restaurant when the 2 of us eat in or out. They have a full menu with over 100 choices, health food section plus a nice smaller size 36 choices lunch selection. They do deliver but need to check if they come to your place in Myrtle Beach. Enjoy as we sure did and even brought leftovers home.

We have been getting our Chinese food from here for a while now. The food is consistently good and the service is outstanding. I get the General Tso Chicken and the Pork Fried Rice. The egg rolls are so-so but the Wonton soup is excellent. We like it better than Dragon Pan where we used to go for years. Their prices are about the same.
